Profile

Stephen Melton lives and works between Ramsgate and London. He Graduated from Camberwell College of Art, then the Royal College of Art and then worked for Eduardo Paollozzi as one of his personal sculptors. After teaching for 15 years within higher education, he now runs the fine art production studios, Meltdowns.

Stephen produces sculpture and installations in mixed media, from bronze to resins and found objects. He has long had an interest in ecology and man’s relationship with the natural world, and each series of work investigates a particular idea or scientific investigation. This has lead to public commissions around the UK and his work can be found in many private collections.
